Every pick links to its source and says when it was last checked. Listings change, so call ahead. There are no ratings, reviews or ads here.

Your ZIP stays on this device. Any future AI features will use zero data retention. Your ZIP is saved in this browser's local storage and turned into a map point using a bundled public file, so sorting happens on your device. The site makes no requests that include your ZIP or location, and it runs no analytics. “Near me” uses your device's location once, in the browser, and doesn't store it.

Data sources & credits

• Places to eat: dish-level research by the DISH ATLAS project (official menus and shop pages, with check dates); 6 picks from the mosaic community map (github.com/gitbrainlab/mosaic), shown with the source each entry lists.
• Farms: 138 Capital Region listings compiled from farm websites, farm social pages and regional farm directories; 20 Rochester-area farms from Canal & Country's Rochester farm map (sources linked on each farm).
• In season now: Cornell Cooperative Extension, Seneca County: Harvest Calendar.
• ZIP locations: U.S. Census Bureau, 2023 Gazetteer Files, ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (public domain), New York only.
• Then & now: menu records indexed by menugraph (github.com/evcatalyst/menugraph) from The New York Public Library's What's on the Menu? and the Culinary Institute of America Menu Collection. Links only; no menu images are copied.
• Recipes: house recipes written for this guide.
